Monopoly
My husband created a monster! While I am recooperating, my hubby is being very sweet and trying to occupy the kids as to let me rest. So to keep them entertained, he suggests Monopoly. This sounds nice, kind, etc....however you don't know my husbands (and family's) history with this seemingly innocent board game. Only myself and my brother-in-law know the ramifications of this horrid game. It started out well, kids smiling, having fun, cheering, laughing.....then the monopolies were formed and the real butt kicking began. There was no mercy for age difference or lack of knowledge of the game. Our middle child picked up on all of this quickly and is now a tyrant at this game. The game ended up taking 2 days to play and the hubby giving up and the son whimpering in a corner. Her nick name is now Butcher Jr.

The record must be clarified. The wife at no time entered the room. The children suggested the game and I acquiesed. I showed them how to play and tried to not let anyone get too shorthanded a deal.
The youngest liked cash, but not property, and frankly only remained in the game as long as happened due to the middle and I being kind.
The middle liked deals. Didn't matter if they were good or bad, just dealing. Especially if it involved cash. Quite the swindler that one.
Ultimately, the middle child whined about my leaving with money on the table - so I returned. I ended up demolishing the child in 3 trips around the board.
The middle has the same mentality as my sister, and now another generation has been corrupted by greed...
You are throwing down the gauntlet! I can not believe the blasphemy I am hearing. 1. Butcher is a loving term used in softball not Monopoly. 2. Monopoly is a game strategy. A meeting of the minds. It takes more than a lais-sez-faire attitude to win at Monoploy.
Sis:
1) Butcher was christened (officially) as part of powder puff football - especially when you grabbed that girl, not by the flag, but by the hair on "accident". The term has been used for as long as I can remember, anytime the goal was to rip someone's head off.
2) Monopoly? Strategy? Meeting of the minds? No wonder I beat you so often. It is purely and simply a game of greed. Getting the properties in the correct locations and monopolizing (hence the name) areas on the board, making it impossible for people to get around you.
For you, anything less than demoralizing and demolishing your opponent is not acceptable. But hey, that's why I love you...
LMAO - its fun to pick on you... ;)
